2. REPLACEMENT OF CENTRAL AVENUE OVERPASS

IMPROVEMENTS:

• Replace the Central Avenue Bridge to accommodate additional auxiliary lanes on the GSP
• Utility upgrades

CONSTRUCTION:

• Bridge construction work to be performed in three (3) stages following utility relocations
• Temporary traffic shifts will be utilized to facilitate the work
• Short duration temporary detours will be needed during utility relocation work
• Significant utility relocation work including drainage, water mains, gas mains and electrical facilities will be performed
• Utility relocation work to begin on or about November 2018

• Utility-related work will continue on Oraton Parkway at Central Avenue near Oraton Parkway and Birchwood Avenue. Work will be supported by East Orange Police.

•  During the week of 10/08/18, water main utility work will be performed on Central Avenue at the intersections of Birchwood Avenue and northbound Oraton Parkway. Work will be supported by East Orange Police.

September 28, 2018

• Utility-related work will continue on Oraton Parkway at Central Avenue near Oraton Parkway and Birchwood Avenue. Work will be supported by East Orange Police.

• On Monday, 10/01/18, water main utility work will be performed on Oraton Parkway, between Central Avenue and Winthrop Terrace. Water service on South Oraton Parkway between Central Avenue and Winthrop Terrace will be interrupted during the day while the work is being performed. Work will be supported by East Orange Police.

•  During the week of 10/01/18 and 10/08/18, water main utility work will be performed on Central Avenue at the intersections of Birchwood Avenue and northbound Oraton Parkway. Work will be supported by East Orange Police.
